Clergy Support The Vicar for Clergy represents the Archbishop in promoting the emotional, physical and spiritual well-being for all priests and deacons, and vice-versa their individual needs and concerns. This includes providing liaison between clergy and laity; maintaining lists of clergy available for ministry at large; and providing for clergy wellness mind, body and spirit.
Clergy Personnel Board The Vicar for Clergy meets regularly with the Archbishop to administer ecclesiastical assignments, discuss priest personnel relationships, to prepare them for retirement, and to work with the international priests in their enculturation and legal matters.
Life and Formation Committee The Vicar for Clergy assists the formation committee as they work to provide resources for the care of clergy in the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon. This includes their spiritual and physical well-being, as well as ongoing formation to build on their natural gifts and talents in areas where they may desire to grow. The committee plans workshops, retreats and gatherings.
