On January 25, 2025, San Francisco hosted the annual West Coast Walk for Life, drawing thousands, including five Portland seminarians, to affirm the sanctity of life. The Catholic Engaged Encounter (CEE), a global program helping engaged couples prepare for sacramental marriage, celebrated its 50th anniversary. At their October 2024 meeting in Atlanta, new national leaders were named, including Portland residents Denise and Jerry Ramsden and Fr. Martin King.

John Cihak, pastor of Christ the King Parish in Milwaukie, OR, received the St. Thérèse Award from Curtis Martin, founder and CEO of FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students), in recognition of his service as a member of the Board of Directors from 2010 to 2016.
