Fr. Trình Quang Lê went home to the Lord peacefully on April 7 at the age of 89, after 59 years of priesthood. He grew up in Vietnam where he entered seminary and was ordained. He served as a parish priest and military chaplain. He moved to Portland in 2010 and served at Our Lady of Lavang, St. Anthony, and Immaculate Heart parishes. 

Fr. Louis Urbanski entered into eternal life on April 22 at the age of 86. A devoted priest of the Archdiocese of Portland for over 40 years, he was ordained in 1964 and served in Catholic education and parish life. Among his other assignments, he was principal at Regis and Valley Catholic High Schools and pastor at St. Therese and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parishes. Funeral services are pending. 

Fr. Tom Layton passed away on Sunday, December 22, at the age of 80. Born June 11, 1944, in Lawrenceville, Illinois, he grew up in Coos Bay, Oregon, and later studied computer science and religious studies before earning a master’s in theology in 2008. He was ordained a priest in 2009 and served at parishes in Junction City, Monroe, and Waldport until entering senior status in 2017. In his final years, Fr. Layton lived in a memory care facility in Puyallup, Washington, where he received hospice care and the Last Rites shortly before his passing. 

Fr. Francis Chun, entered into the hands of the Lord on Sunday, April 27. Fr. Chun was ordained a priest for the Society of Mary in 1963 in Fribourg, Switzerland. He served faithfully for 22 years as a chaplain and teacher at La Salle High School and later as a parochial vicar at St. John the Baptist Parish in Milwaukie. May he, and all the faithful departed, rest in peace. Funeral arrangements are pending.
