The Archdiocese of Portland is a place where our one faith, baptism, communion and mission in the Lord are made visible.
Our parishes provide Hispanic Catholics direct support and exercise their commitment to Evangelization, Communion in Mission, and integration of the Catholic community into the life of the archdiocese.
Our Mission - Through the National Pastoral Plan for Hispanic Ministry and Encuentro & Misión, parishes throughout the Archdiocese are welcoming and integrating the Hispanic community into the Church. By fostering a Pastoral de Conjunto, parish teams aim to develop leadership that embraces the multicultural reality of both Hispanics and non-Hispanics.
General Objective - Promote a joint pastoral model of the Church that is evangelizing, missionary, and rooted in the reality of the Hispanic people. This model is open to diverse cultures, advocates for justice, and develops leadership through integral education, serving as leaven for the Kingdom of God in society.
Vision - All members of the Catholic community are leaven for the Kingdom of God. Through missionary evangelization, every parish supports the full integration of Hispanics into their communities.
