Promoting Catholic Learning Through Fun Competition
The annual RC Challenge invites students and supporters to engage in a Jeopardy-style Catholic knowledge competition, first launched in 1988 by Sr. John Morriss, OSF. This event celebrates faith-based learning, connecting youth in a friendly competition that encourages deepened understanding and camaraderie.

Coaches and Supporters of the RC Challenge are invited to prepare for the 2025 competition! This year’s challenge will take place on Friday, January 31st, and Saturday, February 1st, 2025, at Aquinas Hall at Holy Rosary Parish, 340 NE Clackamas St., Portland, OR, 97232. The RC Challenge Board is available for any questions as the event approaches. The board looks forward to welcoming participants and spectators to the 2025 RC Challenge! Event Details:
Who: Students in 5th through 12th grades are invited to compete, and all are welcome to attend as spectators.
What: A Jeopardy-style trivia event with questions on Catholic facts, where four-person teams test their knowledge for cash prizes and scholarships.
Why: This event provides a chance for youth to gather with peers, strengthen their faith, and enjoy a lively, educational competition.
How to Join: Youth should form a team of four, secure a coach, choose a team name, and submit the registration form and fee by the deadline.
