“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matt: 28:18-20)
As baptized children of God, we are called to be disciples of Jesus helping others encounter Jesus Christ, experience conversion, and a change of heart that transforms their lives.
Yet, Pope Benedict XVI said we can no longer assume faith for the baptized, but must refocus on the proclamation of the basic Gospel message (or Kerygma). A way to understand the kerygma is this: If you had five minutes to witness your Catholic faith to someone, how would you express it? Where do we fit into the divine plan? Why do we need a savior?
