It is with a heavy but grateful heart that I must announce to you that our Chancellor, Mary Jo Tully, will be leaving her faithful service to the Archdiocese of Portland and will be relocating in order to pursue other pastoral opportunities. Mary Jo has offered her tremendous gifts to the service of our local Church for 27 years. All of us owe Mary Jo our sincere and deep gratitude for all that she has done in serving Christ and His people.
As the Archbishop I know I speak for myself and my predecessors whom Mary Jo has served when I say thank you Mary Jo and we wish you all God’s blessings in your new adventures.

Archbishop Sample's Statement on the events in Orlando, FL
It was with great sadness that I learned of the horrific and tragic events that took place in Orlando, Florida early Sunday morning.
We live in a time where we must continue to fervently affirm the dignity of each and every human life. And while many may use such events as a political and social platform, our job as the Catholic Church is to offer hope where there may appear to be none.
My prayers are with the community of Orlando, and all of those who have suffered loss or injury. May Our Lord’s grace and mercy be with each one of you during this time of grief.
